De 4 release in The Walt Disney Legacy Collection reeks is Alan Menken's score voor The Little Mermaid. Op deze 2CD release staat de volledige score geschreven door Alan Menken welke nu voor het eerst verkrijgbaar is vanaf 25 november 2014. Op de tweede schrijf staan verschillende demo's. Naast de prachtige muziek bevat deze release ook speciaal voor deze set gemaakte cover en art work door Lorelay Bove. De totale speelduur van deze soundtrack bedraagt maar liefst 107 minuten muziek. The Little Mermaid is en blijft de film die de Walt Disney Studios terug op de kaart heeft gezet en is een must have voor alle Alan Menken fans!
